  • Xmas Shopping in Manchester. Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no, dreading tomorrow. Going christmas shopping in Manchester and im dreading it. Play shopper dodgems in the Arndale and then queue in Primark for 2 hours and then at the last minute decide everything i am going to buy is cheap tat, so dump it on the nearest rail and walk out to hordes of people all going in the opposite direction to which i want to go.
Highlight of the day is treating myself to some choice tunes from vinyl exchange and going into a shop that sells coffee table fishtanks. I visit here everytime i go and still havent figured out how to feed the fish, i dont want to ask the owner because that would spoil my fun and then i will not have a reason to go there and retreat from the nutters on the streets.
well i wish myself luck for tomorrow!!

  • Snapping Turtles are chelonian dustbins.

Good day at work today-no teaching, instead got to do some enjoyable stuff like feeding the snapping turtles, i love these guys, never fail to cheer me up. Fed them fish today, first time in ages. They were so excited that bob decided not only to eat the fish but also the forceps used to hold the food. It took over 10 mins to let them go and when i finally retrieved them they were bent in half.
Also got bitten by a snake; a royal python of all things. instead of striking at its food it decided to strike at my hand instead so therefore i have concluded that i taste better than dead rats.
    oh happy days.

  • Education, what a con!

I work in the further education industry as an instructor and have come to the conclusion that modern day teaching and learning is a con. Teachers are being conned, employers are being conned and most importantly and regretfully students are being conned. The majority of qualifications, particularly nvq's are flagrantly faked and falsified in a drive to increase student numbers and achieve high retention rates. Lessons have become exercises in crowd control rather than learning, and being paid to attend college (ema) is attracting apathetic and disruptive adolescants who spoil it for those genuinly interested.Cant wait for the future!!!
There are lots of other things i could moan about but i cant be arsed.
Moan over think ill go and sing a happy song
